Arghakhanchi to have One Laptop Per Child scheme

A meeting at Institute of Governance and Development (IGD) discussed Sunday about the implementation aspect of One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) programme to be implemented in Arghakhanchi district.

The OLPC Nepal representative and spokesperson Shankar Pokhrel stated that Agrhakhanchi district would be the second after Mustang in piloting the project.

The Arghakhanchi district development committee will be implementing the project in middle and high schools of area number nine of the district. However, according to OLPC Nepal representatives, this project was still at its initial stage, and the software for every class is yet to be developed.

They also added that the needed curriculum for the programme would be developed soon.
